SkyDives for the fund 18th August 2012

Lisas Fund is reaching new heights to raise money for the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. On Saturday 18th August two brave women and one man took to the skys and completed a skydive from a staggering 10,000 ft.

Kim Fardon from Colchester, Sarah Simmons from Bury St Edmunds and Scott Robertson from Soham jumped in the first stage of a two part skydiving event.

Robert Barnes along with friends and well wishers went to Chatteris Skydiving to watch the event, he said they are all very brave. ‘Watching them and others jumping today has made me decide I will be doing it myself with the second team, on Thursday 20th September. I have paid my deposit so there is no turning back.’ he said.

The other two doing the skydive on that day are John Mason and Kiel Porter both from Soham, Robert said, ‘The six of us together hope to raise lots of money for Lisas fund.’

The event was organised by Gemma Beckett from Soham, Gemma who works at Chatter Box was going to do the skydive too but sadly injured her back and had been ruled out said Robert, this event would not have taken place without her.

Robert added Chatter Box has always been a great support both to Lisas Fund and to me personally and I cannot thank them enough.

To donate to Roberts attempt at skydiving simply phone 07885 087 458 and leave your details including your post code.

Lisas Fund  now stands at £55.000 since its launch in October 2010.
